Live Community Theatre in JeffCo

"Like a fine bottle of wine, theatre is a living thing that evolves into what the vintners envision in their mind’s eye," says Miners Alley Playhouse director Rick Bernstein.

Here is a brief introduction with links to six theatre groups and two huge Cultural Centers in Jefferson County, Colorado :

E Project

Volunteer JeffCo thespians came together as E Project in 2001 to benefit charitable organizations. The first production was "Camping with Henry and Tom" (Henry Ford & Tom Edison).

Executive Director Deletta Laes says, "We have produced more than a dozen shows at Lakewood Cultural Center, Full Moon Event Center (9136 W. 6th Ave.), American Cancer Society and at many school auditoriums." They rehearse at the home of Creative Director Ken Crow.

The 2002, E Project production of "Wit," a provocative monologue by a woman being treated by Western medicine while dying of cancer, was brought back by popular request in February, 2005 to benefit the American Cancer Society. The House Rabbit Society benefited from "Harvey."

In 2004, E Project teamed up with Evergreen, Conifer, Alameda and Green Mountain high school choirs to benefit their school music programs. In April, 2005, they produced A.R. Gurnie’s "Perfect Party" about a literary professor attempting to become a party person.
