Horseback Riding

Jefferson County enjoys the equestrian Western tradition, from watching the Westernaires (www.westernaires.org) at the Evergreen Rodeo Parade and Buffalo Bill Days in Golden, to renting a horse from an outfitter.

Lakewood’s Bear Creek Park (Morrison) concessionaire maintains 30 horses and offers trail riding from one hour to seven-day adventures. Call them at 303-697-9666.
