Lake Cedar Group propaganda claims the public wants a Supertower.
The latest strategy for broadcast corporate consultants to gain huge bonuses from manipulating County Commissioners into rezoning land for a profitable Supertower is print and television advertising and a push poll. The Golden Transcript gullibly (6/1/06) published Lake Cedar Group claims of 263 citizen survey. LCG tells people they want to take down four towers and put up one, without informing about extreme increases in RF radiation pollution and alternative sites available for digital TV antennas on Lookout Mountain.
Push-Poll recorded by Dick Bartlett in April, 2006
DB: Hello
Caller: I’m ah, I’m calling from Lake Cedar Group we’re talking with residents in the Golden City area about some local issues and we’d like to ask you a few questions. Are you aware that the Golden City Council recently filed court documents in an attempt to condemn 65 acres on Lookout Mountain, commonly known as the Lake Cedar property?
DB: Ah, yes.
Caller: Okay. Do you support the Golden City Council potentially spending millions of dollars to take this land from private land owners through the use of eminent domain and condemnation?
DB: Yes, I do!
Caller: Okay. Do you support the City Council finding a compromise that preserves open space and allows the Lake Cedar Group to consolidate four TV towers into one new combined TV tower without using condemnation?
DB: No.
Caller: Okay. And would you like to leave a message for Golden City Council member Mary Weaver to tell them to stop the misuse of eminent domain and stop the condemnation on Lookout Mountain?
DB: No, I’d like to leave a message to her to keep going.
Caller: Oh, okay. Ah, well, ah, …… we’re….. not patching people through for that option. Unfortunately…
DB: Oh, I’m sure you’re not.
Caller: Yes, it hurts our cause.
DB: Uh-huh.
Caller: But I thank you so much for helping today and I wish you guys the best, and you have a wonderful evening, okay?
DB: All right. Thank you very much.
Caller: Uh, no problem.
DB: All Right. Bye bye.
Caller: Bye bye.
